Why should I take Nature's Way OSTEO-K Vitamin K2?

Vitamin K2 is the most beneficial form of Vitamin K for bones and stays in the body for longer. Unlike Vitamin K1 which is used to activate blood clotting proteins, Vitamin K2 is beneficial for activating protiens which bind calcium to bones. Vitamin K2 is found in fermented foods such as Natto and Sauerkraut.

Nature's Way OSTEO-K Vitamin K contains Vitamin K2 at the stronger, clinically trialled* dose of 180mcg, so that you only need to take one tablet a day.

Osteo-K uses the same form of Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone 7), that has been shown in recent clinical studies* to help build bone density. Menaquinone 7 is considered to be an effective form of Vitamin K2.

Vitamin K2

Vitamin K2 has been growing in popularity around the world over the past 5 years, since research continues to show its myriad of health benefits. It has only recently been made available for use in Australia.

You can also get K2 from some foods (chicken, beef, fish, pork, dairy, eggs, natto, sauerkraut) but not at the same levels as Osteo-K.
